The UCSB men’s volleyball team wasted no time against Pepperdine, winning in straight sets, 25-23, 25-13, 25-17, to snap a 10-match losing streak against the Waves.The Gauchos (5-3, 3-2 MPSF) played error-free volleyball for the greater part of the match on Friday at Rob Gym, committing only 20 unforced errors.The biggest difference was the offensive efficiency of the Gauchos. San Marcos sweeps Carpinteria in opener

In a girls volleyball season opener between two local teams, San Marcos took control early and swept Carpinteria, 25-7, 25-9, 25-12, Thursday night on Jon Lee Court at Maury Halleck Gym.The Royals sprinted out to a 14-3 scoring spree in the first game. CBVA tourney brings out oldies but goodies

Sunday's California Beach Volleyball Association 50+ Masters tournament at East Beach brought back old memories and reignited rivalries from the prime playing days of former high-level players. The tournament was brought back to the CBVA schedule for the first time in many years by the request of tournament director Eric Arneson.
