The Carpinteria AYSO Warriors boys under-16 played their sixth tournament this season in Cypress this past weekend in a tournament that always brings good quality teams at all levels. For the second year in a row, the Carpinteria Warriors faced off the Havoc from North Oxnard in Beach Cup in the boys under 16 championship match.  2009 belonged to the Havoc while this year the Warriors took the cup.The Carpinteria Warriors, coached by Mario Carrasco and Ron Peñate, beat North Oxnard 3-0 in penalty shots after being tied 1-1 in regulation time.  Both teams had plenty of opportunities to get the winning goal in 90 minutes of play, but the story had a different … [Read more...]
