GSoc: Carpinteria drops opener

Carpinteria scored first in its girls soccer opener against Santa Paula, but the Cardinals responded with six unanswered goals for a 6-1 win over the Warriors.

“Solid goals on their part, but we lost two players to injury that we had a hard time recovering from,” said Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant.”

Jenny Alaniz scored for the Warriors off a nifty assist from Tatiana Requejo.

“She did a great job of drawing out their fast and very skilled center back to the flank before slotting in a pass for Jenny Alaniz to put away.”
