The Goleta Valley South Little League 12-Under All Stars couldn’t come up with the clutch hits and dropped an 8-2 decision to Manhattan Beach in the opening game of the So Cal Sub-Regional Tournament in Ontario.
GVS stranded 10 baserunners in the game.
Manhattan Beach hit three home runs, including a pair in the fifth inning to put the game away.
Sam Russell belted a homer for GVS in the sixth inning.
GVS plays an elimination game on Saturday.
