LAX: Royals sweep season series from Chargers

Trey Tank’s third-quarter goal pushed San Marcos into the lead for good in Monday’s 8-5 victory over Dos Pueblos.

Tank won a face off and raced downfield to score on his own. The Royals and Chargers were tied 3-3 at halftime.

Jack Palmer’s one goal and an assist were key to the victory. Justin Lehman led the Royals in scoring with three goals. Kelly McDonald added two goals and Dylan Kitao one.

The result gives San Marcos the City Championship among the three public schools playing lacrosse: San Marcos, Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High. Overall the Royals are 9-4 and host their final game of the season on Wednesday against Royal.
