LAX: Dons get revenge on Royal

Santa Barbara High’s improvement this season was evident in Wednesday’s 10-5 victory at Royal in Simi Valley. The Dons are a different team than the one that lost to Royal earlier this season, Santa Barbara’s first in CIF.

“You can just tell by the way our guys carry themselves now that we are completely different now from when we first played Simi Royal,” said Dons head coach Mikey Terry.

Much of the offense ran through sophomore Elyjah Klopp, who finished with four goals and two assists for the Dons. Hans Fedyk, another sophomore, shared the team lead in goals with four.

“Elyjah and Hans are really coming into their own. They have really stepped their game up offensively,” said Terry.

Santa Barbara built a 6-2 lead at halftime and never trailed in the game.
