BTen: Balanced play leads Cate over Malibu

With an undefeated performance from the No. 1 singles and doubles teams, the Cate boys tennis team defeated Malibu 13-5 at home on Tuesday.

Despite inconsistent play due to weather interference and a minor losing streak, the Rams were able to surpass the visiting Sharks with ease.

Cate saw a good outing from Kevin Ha who went 3-0 as well the tandem of Michael Nattesheim and Christian Herman. Edward Cho remained anchored in the doubles department, facilitating three set wins with different partners.

Mason Mackall teamed up with Joseph Thomassen to record two wins after suffering a tough 7-5 loss in their opening set.

The Rams improve to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in Tri-Valley League and are set to hit the rod on Thursday when they will face off against St. Bonaventure.
