Santa Clara’s aggressive play took Cate out of its game, and the Saints rolled to a 63-36 girls basketball win at Bishop Diego’s Bird Cage Classic.
The Saints forced Cate into several turnovers and opened up a 38-15 lead by halftime.
Elan Halpern and Miriam Weiss provided a spark for the Rams in the second half.
Cate is back in action Friday against Cabrillo.
