Laguna Blanca got goals from Ethan Tyng and Ben Rios to rally past Bishop Diego in a non-league boys soccer match on Friday at Laguna.
Down 1-0, Tyng scored off an assist from Ryan Bickett to even the score in the 46th minute.
The Owls took the lead when Rios blasted a shot past the goalkeeper from 22 yards.
“It was a really well-placed shot,” Laguna coach Daniel Torres said.”(Rios) was in the right place at the right time and he did everything correctly.”
Goalie Mikey Hawker stopped a penalty shot in the second half to preserve the victory.
Torres cited the play of seniors Bickett, Cooper Farrell and Thomas Sloan.
Laguna Blanca enters the holiday break with a 3-0-1 record.
