McKenna Madden didn’t lose a game in winning two sets and Pharige Pope sweep in her singles sets, leading Cate’s girls tennis team to a 14-4 Tri-Valley League win over Malibu on Thursday.
With the win, the Rams finish in third place in the TVL, assuring them at least a wild-card berth in the CIF playoffs.
Emma Lieberman and Cecelia Sanborn swept in doubles for the Rams.
Cate is now 7-5 overall (4-4 in TVL play) and play Laguna Blanca this Saturday in the last match of the regular season.
Next Monday, the TVL begins its league individuals tournament at Carpinteria High.
