GVB: Carpinteria finishes Santa Clara in four sets

Maranda Marquez and Shannon Callaway each recorded seven kills to help Carpinteria High oust the Santa Clara Saints on Tuesday.

The Warriors were on the road and were able to overcome the Saints in only four games with the scores of 27-25, 21-25, 25-22, and 25-23.

Katie McGee fed the Marquez and Callaway at the net and dished a total of 16 assists. Lesny Espinoza contributed with a solid defensive effort, finishing the game with 13 digs and a kill of her own.

The Carpinteria Warriors are now 4-3 overall and 3-0 in league. They will host Foothill on Thursday where they hope to extend their undefeated league record.
