Santa Ynez was a step ahead of San Marcos on Friday as the Pirates routed the Royals 15-3 in a girls tennis match.
The Royals’ three wins came from three different sources. Renee Handley won the only singles set while two doubles teams – Summer Bosse/Carley McDaniel and Kinsley Shinn/Francesca Diamond – won one set each.
The Royals host Carpinteria on Monday.
