Cate’s girls tennis team recorded its second straight 15-3 victory to start the season on Thursday. The Rams bettered visiting Villanova 15-3.
Cate claimed eight of nine points in doubles and seven of nine in singles.
Singles players Julia Gan and McKenna Madden, both juniors, were dominate in winning three sets each at love.
The senior doubles team of Victoria Herman and Pharibe Pope swept their three sets 6-3, 6-0, 6-1.
Cate (2-0) plays again on September 19 against Santa Ynez.
