In her first high school match, freshman Mallory Sestak posted San Marcos’ low score on Tuesday and the Royals topped Arroyo Grande 250-266.
Sestak’s round of 47 at Sandpiper Golf Course (par 36) gave San Marcos a victory in its season opener.
Lauren Pitchford, Remi Ho, Alex Pitchford and Kellen Peddicord rounded out San Marcos’ scoring, all coming in at 53 or under.
Arroyo Grande’s Tesse Oates recorded a 43 for medalist honors.
