Hailee Rios pitched a no-hitter in her San Marcos debut on the mound and hit a home run in her first at bat, leading the Royals to a 6-0 softball victory over San Luis Obispo on Tuesday.
Rios struck out 14, walked three and hit one batter.
Cara Christian hit a RBI triple, driving in Stephanie Swan, who led off the game with a single. Rios followed with her home run over the center field fence.
In the second inning, Alex Pitchford walked and reached third following a groundout. Swann singled her home with two outs for a 4-0 lead. Swan went 3-for-4 on the day.
Christian and Claudia Herrera added insurance runs in the 5th and 6th innings.
