Santa Barbara’s NCAA Bracket Contest open for registration

EDITOR’S NOTE: We have decided to migrate the game to ESPN as of Selection Sunday because of Yahoo’s requirement to submit your cell phone number in order to register. We don’t want our people to have to receive marketing text messages from Yahoo. No way. So, the links have been changed to take you to the ESPN “Santa Barbara” bracket. Good luck and have fun!!

NCAA Bracket ContestWhile Warren Buffett is offering a cool $1 billion to anyone who picks a perfect NCAA Tournament bracket this month, Presidio Sports and Santa Barbara Brewing Company are also running a NCAA Bracket contest of their own for Santa Barbara locals.

It’s free to register and the winner will receive a gift card to Santa Barbara Brewing Company and will get their picture printed in the Santa Barbara Sentinel.

Additional prizes include gift certificates to Natural Cafe, Santa Barbara Running Company, Keys 2 Fitness, and a spa package from Spa del Mar at the DoubleTree Resort.

Last year’s contest was won by Warner Anderson, AKA ‘Warpath U’, who was right on 41 out of 63 picks overall. More importantly, Anderson correctly predicted three Final Four teams and the championship match-up of Louisville defeating Michigan.

This year’s NCAA Tournament field will be announced this Sunday, and the March Madness mania will kick into high gear next Thursday when first-round games commence.
