Erik Olson scored a season-high 18 points to lead Dos Pueblos to a 54-49 victory over Buena in a Channel League boys basketball game on Wednesday at Sovine Gym.
“Erik Olson did a great job tonight at both ends of the floor,” DP coach Joe Zamora said.
The Chargers (7-12, 3-3) roared out to a 21-6 lead in the first half. But Buena worked its way back into the game.
Anthony Trujillo (9 points)and Brandon Burkhardt (7) helped DP stave off the Bulldogs.
“It was a good game that we learned how to finish out the competition,” said Zamora.
The Chargers play at San Marcos on Friday.
