Santa Barbara High’s 65-44 championship-clinching victory on Saturday night was a lot of Dessy Coleman, Amber Melgoza, Jada Howard and Jocelin Petatan.

The foursome accounted for 61 of the Dons’ 65 points in a win over West Ranch that gave Santa Barbara the Gold Coast Classic title.

Santa Barbara (7-1) won its second straight tournament by defeating Pioneer Valley, Oaks Christian, St. Joseph and West Ranch.

Melgoza led the Dons on Saturday with 18 points, 13 rebounds and four steals. She was named tournament MVP. Dessy Coleman, who had 15 points, was an all-tournament selection.

West Ranch’s Whitney Branham led all scorers with 30 points. The Wildcat senior knocked down four 3-pointers and was 10-for-10 at the free-throw line.
