GLF: DP works out some kinks in win over Rio Mesa

Megan Caird shot a 41 and shared medalist honors in Dos Pueblos’ 229-249 girls golf victory over Rio Mesa on Thursday at Las Posas Country Club.

“Megan made some very mature decisions on managing the course,” DP coach Dan Choi said. “One of which was to leave her drive and 3-wood in the bag and electing to use her 5-wood. Megan loves to bomb her driver, so it truly was an exercise in control.”

The other four Charger players shot under 50 in their first match at Las Posas.

“On a whole, it was not our finest outing but with all things considered it was a great opportunity to show a little perseverance, mental toughness and smart play. We hope that these kinds of challenges will serve us well down the road,” said Choi.
