Tri-Valley League teams hold down the top four spots in this week’s CIF-SS Northwest Division rankings.
Bishop Diego sits in the top spot for the third straight week, defending division champion Nordhoff is second, Carpinteria moves back to third and Oak Park is the No. 4 team. Santa Paula, another TVL team, is listed among others.
In the Western Division, Lompoc stays at the No. 3 position. Ventura of the Channel League cracks the rankings at No. 10. San Marcos, off to its best start in years at 3-0, is on the verge of breaking into the top-10.
The Pac 7 has four teams in the Northern Division rankings. St. Joseph is the highest-ranked team at No. 4. Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo and Atascadero hold down the Nos. 7, 8 and 9 spots.
In eight-man football, Cate (2-0) is ranked No. 1 in the large school division poll. Condor League rival Thacher is third, Villanova Prep is ninth and Dunn 10th.
