SBSC U-15 boys continue tradition as Cal South Champs

The Santa Barbara Soccer Club Under-15 Boys White team brought home another Cal South National Cup Championship on May 19th in San Juan Capistrano.

The team secured the title by defeating FC Golden State Platinum in the finals. This is their 3rd Cal South Cup Championship title in the last four years.

Lucky Puengrod started the team off strong with a hat trick scoring the first 3 goals in the final. Juan Pablo Alvarez secured the win with a tremendous goal from 30 yards out to make the final score 4-0.

Santa Barbara Soccer Club outscored their opponents 24-5 in the tournament.

The team will head to Hawaii to defend its title as Far West Region IV Champions during June 17-23. The team has won the Regional Championship title two times in the past three years.

Following last year’s Regional Championship win in Phoenix, the team went on to the Final Four in South Carolina where they won the National Championship.
