Goleta Thunder takes second in Five Cities softball tournament

The Goleta Thunder’s U8 All-Stars took second in the Five Cities Tournament in Arroyo Grande.

On Saturday the girls won both their games, beating the Bakersfield Blast (8-2) and Orcutt Elite (2-1). The two wins gave Goleta a third seed on Sunday.

On Sunday the girls defeated the Nipomo Titans 2-1. Next the Goleta All-Stars took down the Santa Maria Storm leading them to the Championship game.

In the championship the Goleta girls once again found themselves facing the Orcutt Elite. The girls played hard but could not seal the deal. The Goleta All-Stars 8U Thunder took second place after a 9-5 loss.

The Goleta Thunder will play in their next tournament in Carpinteria.
