The third annual Squash-A-Thon hosted by Santa Barbara School of Squash will take place this Friday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Santa Barbara Athletic Club [MAP].
This year’s Squash-A-Thon includes 150 matches, 60 players and 6 teams to fundraise for the non-profit organization SBSOS which serves as a physical fitness center for kids in the Santa Barbara area. The Santa Barbara School of Squash currently serves 30 students from 11 Santa Barbara schools with 5 days of programming.
The team competition at the Squash-A-Thon will combine SBAC members and SBSOS students, with half of the team competing on the squash courts while the other half competes in workout activities in the gym.
Santa Barbara School of Squash combines academic tutoring and squash instruction to create and safe and structured environment after school for elementary, middle and high school students.
