Erin Campbell and Jason Smith recorded the fastest times of the year at Nite Moves on Wednesday, with Campbell winning the women’s 5k run and Smith the aquathon.
Campbell placed seventh overall in the 5k run with a time of 19 minutes and 22 seconds. Campbell bested Laura Turner’s 5k run of 19:23 set on May 26.
Smith’s time of 36:23 in the aquathon was six seconds better than the previous best.
Mark Fennell, 51, posted the best time (18:31) in the 5k run. Fennell became the first 50-year-old to win the 5k run this season.
Ben Brewer won the 1k ocean swim in 14 minutes flat. Chris Braden was close behind in 14:06.
