Carpinteria unleashes hit parade on Malibu

Carpinteria remained perfect in Frontier League competition on Thursday by defeating Malibu 16-2 in a five-inning game.

The Warriors (13-5-1, 6-0) collected 19 hits, including nine in the first inning alone that led to 11 runs.

Carmen Campi was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate and drove in two runs. Erin Saito and Dakotah Wilcox, each with four hits, both knocked in four runs.

Catalina Maldonado limited Malibu to just two hits and zero earned runs while striking out seven.

The Warriors are off until next Tuesday when they host Bishop Diego in another league game.
