Warriors drop rematch with St. Bonny

The Carpinteria High baseball team lost 13-1 to St. Bonaventure at home on Thursday after defeating the Seraphs 3-1 yesterday.

“We had a little trouble maintaining the momentum that we had gained in a big win on Wednesday,” Warriors head coach Pat Cooney said.

Carpinteria could not figure out St. Bonaventure pitcher John Kubiske, who threw four innings and allowed just two hits and no earned runs.

“In the big picture, the split with St. Bonaventure is still a reasonably good result for the week,” Cooney said.

The Warriors (4-4 overall, 1-1 Tri-Valley League) will continue their season on March 28 against Mission Prep at home.
