Matt Hill had seven aces and Nic Mon added five with 12 kills as the Bishop Diego boys volleyball team travelled to Fillmore on Tuesday and picked up a 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 sweep.
“We had a bunch of aces, but also lost focus and missed too many serves. Once we start getting more consistent we’ll be in a much better spot. Overall, I was pleased with the effort today,” said coach Jason Donnelly.
Brandon Gonzalez added six kills with 14 assists and middle blockers Michael Winnewisser and Patrick Schlesselman had four kills each. The Cardinals (1-2, 1-1 Tri-Valley League) host Malibu on Thursday.
