Laguna’s 13 3-pointers not enough against Besant Hill

Besant Hill used its size advantage to overcome Laguna Blanca’s 3-point shooting barrage in a Condor League boys basketball game Wednesday night,

The Owls made 13 3-pointers, but it wasn’t enough as Besant Hill’s big men, Lukas Huberman and Yuri Howard, combined for 47 points to help the Coyotes win 64-59.

The 6-5 Huberman scored 24 points and the 6-4 Howard added 23.

“Besant Hills’ second-chance points and hitting 14-16 from the free-throw line ended up being the difference,” said Laguna coach Sal Rodriguez.

Brandon Bickett led three Laguna players in double figures with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. J.T. Aubrey sank five treys for 15 points and Logan Elder made four 3s and scored 13 points.

Laguna Blanca is 7-5 on the season.
