SB County Super Seven Girls Soccer Rankings

Righetti is finding ways to win.

Last week, a 40-yard shot by Michaela Olney helped the Warriors beat Arroyo Grande, and a penalty kick in overtime by Shannon Murray was the difference in a match against St. Joseph.

The Warriors, who moved into first place in the Pac-7, are ranked second in this week’s Super Seven.

Top-ranked Cabrillo added two more wins to its record and scored nine goals.

Dos Pueblos remained third in the poll after a 4-0 romp over crosstown rival San Marcos.


County Super Seven (1/30/2012)

1) Cabrillo (14-1-6) — beat Lompoc 4-0; beat Coast Union 5-2. Top-ranked team in CIF Division 5 showed its finishing power in two wins.

2) Righetti (12-2-3) — beat Arroyo Grande 2-1; beat St. Joseph 2-1 OT. Warriors move into first place in the Pac 7.

3) Dos Pueblos (12-3-5) — beat San Marcos 4-0; Rachel Smith scores hat trick in Chargers’ only match of the week.

4) Carpinteria (9-3-3) — beat Fillmore 4-0; beat Bishop Diego 2-1 OT. Freshman getting it done for the Warriors.

5) Santa Ynez (7-7-3) — beat Lompoc 1-0; beat San Marcos 1-0.Anouk Aumont scored the winning goal in both matches.

6) Bishop Diego (9-6-2) — lost to Grace Brethren 2-1; lost to Carpinteria 2-1 OT. Injuries taking their toll on the Cardinals.

7) Cate (5-5-1) — tied Dunn 3-3. Rams need to tighten up their defense.
