Bishop Diego's girls basketball team split a pair of games on Thursday at the Avalon Tournament but will still play in Friday's championship game against Villanova.The Cardinals lost to that same Villanova team in its first game on Thursday 53-26. The SBCC women’s basketball team closed out 2011 with a sub-par performance on Thursday afternoon in the consolation semifinals of the 24th annual Grossmont Holiday Tournament.Mt. San Jacinto, ranked No. 8 in the state, opened the second half on a 20-5 run and went on to beat the Vaqueros 70-42.
