UCSB’s men’s basketball team is the No. 23 team in this week’s NCAA basketball Mid-Major Top-25, which ranks the top basketball programs in the country outside of the six major conferences.
The Gauchos (1-0), who were ranked No. 23 in last week’s poll as well, will know more about where they stand amongst mid-majors after tonight’s clash with Santa Clara, the No. 26 team. UCSB currently sits between Evansville and Oakland.
Gonzaga is No. 1, followed by Creighton, Belmont, Cleveland State and Wichita State.
