Chargers go 8-0, win Queen of Court tourney title

Dos Pueblos completed an undefeated weekend of matches to win the Gold Division title at the Foothill Queen of the Court preseason girls volleyball tournament at the American Sports Center in Anaheim.The Chargers went 8-0 in matches and lost only one set in the two-day tournament. Facing St. Mary's in the opener of 2011 on Friday night the UCSB women's volleyball team exacted some revenge on the Gaels with a dramatic 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-12 victory. SBCC opened its women’s volleyball season with a pair of losses on Friday at the Pasadena Tournament. The Vaqueros fell to Cypress 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-13) and dropped a 3-2 decision to Glendale (25-19, 25-18, 23-25, 18-25, 15-6).Cypress finished third in last year’s state playoffs.
