Rodrigo Perez scored two first-half goals on a hot Tuesday in Visalia, leading the SBCC men’s soccer team to a 5-1 season-opening win over Sequoias. Taylor Racich will be joining her older sister, Caitlin, at Pepperdine.The left-handed outside hitter at Dos Pueblos has made an oral commitment to the women’s indoor volleyball team, reported her mother, Linda.Caitlin played two seasons for the Waves indoor team before making the switch to the school’s first sand volleyball team.This summer, Taylor led the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club's 18-Smack team to a National Junior Olympics championship.
