SBVC 15-Smack win bracket at AAU Juniors in Orlando

The Santa Barbara Volleyball Club's 15-Smack team captured the Red Bracket title at the AAU Junior Championships in Orlando, Fla.

 The first Santa Barbara Volleyball Club team to play in the AAU Junior Championships came home with a trophy.The SBVC’s 15-Smack captured the Red Bracket and finished 28th overall in the four-day, 62-team tournament at the ESPN World Wide of Sports Center and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.Santa Barbara started out in the Gold Bracket and finished in a three-way tie for second place. Bell clocks fastest Nite Moves swim of the season

With two elite triathletes pushing him, 13-year-old Walker Bell won his seventh Nite Moves 1k swim and posted his fastest time of the season on Wednesday night at Leadbetter Beach.Bell was timed in 13 minutes, 16 seconds in finishing ahead of Zack Paris, 22, (13:37) and Chris Braden, 20,(13:40). Stealth erupt in playoffs, romp to Las Virgenes tourney title

The So Cal Stealth, a Pony All-Star baseball team from Santa Ynez, won the 14-under division championship at the Las Virgenes Tournament in Agoura.The Stealth overcame a 1-1 start in pool play and won their final three games of the tournament by a 38-6 margin, including a 13-3 rout of West Hills in the championship game on Monday night.Aidan Williams was monster at the plate for the Stealth, going 11-for-15 with two doubles, a triple and a solo homer in five games.
