Mexico’s Olympic side coming to Harder to take on Danes

Pontius joins National Team’s training squad

Former UCSB soccer player Chris Pontius was named to the U.S. National Team’s 30-man training camp roster by head coach Bob Bradley. The camp begins today at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson.The 30 players will prepare for the USA’s first match of 2010, a friendly against fellow FIFA World Cup finalists Honduras on Jan. 23 at The Home Depot Center. Valentine sets record in Gauchos’ sloppy win

Stevens hits milestone in Westmont win

Westmont's Amber Stevens hit the 1,000-point milestone on Saturday.

Despite a late 9-0 surge by the Hawks of San Diego Christian, No. 14 Westmont Women's Basketball held on to secure a 61-58 win in El Cajon on Saturday night. With the win, Westmont improves to 10-1 on the season. Blake Bender and Dan Rasp each scored 17 points and Andrew Schmalbach added another 15 as No. 22 Westmont men’s basketball picked up its tenth win of the season by defeating San Diego Christian 78-66 on Saturday night in El Cajon.
