San Marcos can’t get enough offense in loss to CI

Desiree Porter-Ray scored 17 points, but San Marcos couldn’t get much production from anyone else and fell to Channel Islands 55-31 in a green division girls basketball game at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions on Wednesday.

The game was moved to Bishop Diego because of a leaking roof at the San Marcos gym.

San Marcos coach Kristyn Miller said the leaky roof and wet floor forced a couple of games on Tuesday night to be moved to the Page Youth Center.

The Royals (3-9) expect to be back in their gym Thursday for their final TOC game against St. Bonaventure at 9 a.m.
