Vaqueros fall 1-0 in San Diego

San Diego City scored in the 62nd minute Tuesday afternoon and hung on for a 1-0 men’s soccer victory over visiting SBCC in the second round of the Southern Cal Regional.The Knights improve to 18-2-3 while the Vaqueros end their year with a 16-3-3 record. Junior guard Orlando Johnson has been selected as the Big West co-Player of the Week after his dominant offensive performance in UCSB's 69-54 win over Fresno State on Saturday night.In the victory over the Bulldogs, Johnson scored a career-high 35 points, the most by a UCSB player since February of 2007, and he added a career-high 11 rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot.
