A Letter to Our Readers…

PresidioSports.com would like to take a moment to introduce our readers to our new calendar features, meant to enhance your access to important information about what’s going on in our athletic community.

It is a two-pronged attack. On one page, one can find our scholastic sports calendar, which lists the scholastic sports schedule for that coming week. On another page, our new Events Calendar contains key information on major sporting events in the area throughout the year. Users will find dates, times, google maps, stories, registration/ticket information, web site links, etc.

Submissions for the Events Calendar are gladly accepted. Any events open to the public are welcome, including tournament, sports festivals, guest speakers, meetings, etc. Email calendar information to calendar@presidiosports.com. Be sure to include the event’s name, date, start time, location, web site URL and/or contact information.

These new features are just the start of several enhancements planned for PresidioSports.com in the coming months that will enable us to better represent Santa Barbara’s fantastic sports community.

Another great way to stay in the loop is to join the PresidioSports.com Facebook page. Members of our Facebook community enjoy frequent ticket giveaways and a forum for local sports enthusiasts across the board. PresidioSports.com is currently giving away two free passes to this summer’s Reef & Run Series. Join now with just one click of a button to be eligible for all future giveaways.

Finally, always be sure to check in on our two amazing bloggers exclusive to PresidioSports.com. Randy Weiss’ WeissCrax gives a local wiseguy a chance to relay his wacky sporting adventures while local teenage surfing phenom Lakey Peterson takes us with her on trips to far-flung surf destinations such as New Zealand, Australia and Costa Rica. Peterson is primed to make a run at her second NSSA National Title in the coming months, so stay tuned to Lakey’s Lines!

Thanks for Reading,

John Dvorak
