SBCC claimed every set on Thursday and stayed perfect with a 9-0 women's tennis win over Hancock in Santa Maria. The most successful girls basketball season in Laguna Blanca's school history came to a close on Wednesday night, as the Owls were stopped 50-45 at Merovick Gym by third-seeded Hillcrest Christian in CIF's Division VI-AA quarterfinals. Head coach Ernie Quiroz's Owls finish with a 13-8 record in a season that included a Condor League championship and two playoff wins. UCSB swimming head coach Gregg Wilson and senior Anne Marie May were awarded with a pair of major Big West Conference honors it was announced Wednesday by the league office. Top-seeded Santa Barbara and Dos Pueblos both drew home games for Thursday's quarterfinals in the CIF Division 2 Tournament.The Dons (27-0-1) will play host to Santa Ana Saddleback (17-4-4) while the Chargers (13-5-7) take on Corona (14-4-3).
