Maddy Brooks scored a pair of goals as the Carpinteria girls water polo team broke a 1-1 halftime tie by scoring four goals in the third quarter, beating visiting Villanova 6-3 on Friday.“I finally got my girls to start shooting from the perimeter. It was a close pair of dual meets for the UCSB men and women's swim teams this Friday as the Gauchos faced UC Davis on the road at Schaal Aquatics Center. No. 15 UC Santa Barbara (3-2) suffered its first two losses of the season on Friday as the Gauchos participated in the Northern California Invitational being hosted by Cal this weekend.
