Lakey’s Lines: North Shore

Hey Guys,

Or maybe I should say Aloha!

Last week I went over to Hawaii thanks to my sponsor Roxy. It was really fun, Roxy just wanted to get a lot of photos and video of us just for them to have for ads and what not. It was a great trip. The first two days I was there, we surfed a spot called Pupukea, a fun beach break near Pipeline. So fun, it was the only place I surfed the whole time.

Part of the deal is that I got to stay at the Roxy house! (Check out the video) It was really cool, the house was located right above Sunset Beach so you can see all of the surf spots from it. It was amazing because all of the girls that stayed in the house with me were pros so it was really fun to get to know them and surf with them. Plus, whenever I surf with the more experienced girls, it really pushes me to surf as good as I can.

It  is a pretty cool thing to be over in Hawaii in the months of November and December because the Triple Crown is going on so every pro surfer and every surfer pretty much are over there. So it is amazing to watch them surf and get to know some of them as well.

On my last day we went over to the south side of the island and long boarded Waikiki. It was one of the highlights of the trip for me. It was so fun we just messed around and did tandeming and stuff. Overall, I had a great time and got a lot of footage.

I hope to go back soon!

Happy Holidays,
Lakey P.
