CIF Polls: Chargers, Dons flip flop top spots

Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball team took over CIF Div. I-A’s top ranking on Monday, which was expected following last week’s result against the former No. 1 team, the Santa Barbara Dons. The Chargers knocked the defending CIF champs from the top spot in an exciting 23-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-13, 15-13 Channel League battle at DP’s Sovine Gym on Sept. 29.

The Santa Barbara boys water polo team slipped from 7th to 10th in its latest poll after an up-and-down weekend at the Villa Park Tournament. The top-six spots in D-I did not change, with Channel Leaguers Dos Pueblos and Ventura holding out at fourth and sixth respectively.

Laguna Blanca girls volleyball holds pat at No. 3 in Div. IV-AA and Santa Barbara girls tennis also didn’t budge at No. 2 in Div. II.
