A couple of former San Marcos golfers teamed up and found success at Santa Barbara Golf Club over the weekend, as Brett Morman and Albert Corral won the 49th Santa Barbara Golf Classic, a two-player better-ball competition.The duo finished a stellar 15-under par with a 61 on Saturday and a 64 on Sunday. In a vote of the Big West men's soccer coaches, UCSB was tabbed the favorite to claim the league championship it was announced today.UCSB claimed the top position after collecting 45 points, which included four first place votes. A fusion of local collegiate soccer standouts was a big factor in the Ventura County Fusion’s championship season in the United Soccer League’s Premier Developmental League.
