The Boys U.S. Club Water Polo Championships were held in town this past weekend, in an invitation-only tournament that brings together the nation's elite youth club teams. Anderson gets spot on national team for FINA games

Former UCSB men’s water polo player Brian Alexander has been named to Team USA’s 14-man roster for the 2009 FINA World Championships it was announced by USA Water Polo Men’s Senior National Team head coach Terry Schroeder on Wednesday. The championships are scheduled to begin July 20 in Rome, Italy.   Alexander – an alternate for the 2008 Olympic team – will play with 11 Olympians including 10 members of the silver medal winning squad from last summer’s Beijing Olympics.  … [Read more...]

The Pegasus Cup belongs to Real California's U10 girls soccer team after an epic championship game finally ended in victory after a nine-round shoot out. California found itself in a 2-0 hole at halftime against West Coast FC, yet was able to claw back in the second half to tie the match at 2-2.
