UCSB men’s tracksters take back All-Cal Cup

IRVINE — A trophy has returned to the UCSB track and field program, as the Gaucho men re-captured the All-Cal Challenge Cup a year after losing it to UC Irvine. The men completed today's meet with 198.50 points, ahead of second-place UC Irvine's 186.50. Ramos ties career-hits record in Saturday split

BAKERSFIELD - Senior second baseman Christine Ramos tied the UC Santa Barbara career hits record on Saturday when she recorded her 208th hit as a Gaucho during the second game of a nonconference doubleheader against Cal State Bakersfield at the Roadrunner Softball Complex. LONG BEACH - The UC Santa Barbara men's and women's swim teams successfully defended their conference crowns as they completed action at the 2009 Big West Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.The Gaucho women won their 13th conference title and their fourth consecutive.
