NORTHRIDGE - The UCSB baseball team lost its first series of the year, dropping its second consecutive game to Cal State Northridge on Sunday, falling 3-2 at Matador Field. SBCC does best Bash at Beach impression with 25 runs

The bashers came alive on Sunday at Pershing Park as SBCC totaled 25 runs on 26 hits to post a pair of wins on the final day of the Bash at the Beach softball tournament. A six-run seventh catapulted the San Marcos baseball team to an 8-3 non-league victory at Nordhoff on Saturday, taking the Royals to their fourth-straight win.Head coach Rob Crawford used the game as a warmup for the team's spring break trip to Arizona and used 20 players. Two days after SBCC posted a 6-5 walk-off baseball win in its final at-bat against Moorpark, the Raiders broke the Vaqueros' heart on Saturday with a 6-5 walk-off win. The No. 13 UCSB women's water polo team rallied early from a four-goal deficit only to see No. 11 UC Davis pull away for a 12-7 victory on Saturday at Campus Pool. The UCSB softball team split its Big West Conference opener against UC Riverside on Saturday at Campus Diamond. UCSB (17-13) captured game one by way of 4-1 score before falling victim to an 11-5 come-from-behind victory by Riverside (12-19) in the second game of the twin bill.The loss marked the first ever to UC Riverside in program history. The UCSB women's tennis team captured the doubles point with ease and swept Santa Clara in singles at the Rob Gym Tennis courts Saturday to post its third win in its last match of the four game home-stand.
