Nick Wagner defeated Buena's Julian Ferguson 8-3 in the finals to claim the CIF heavyweight wrestling title Saturday at Pacifica High in Oxnard. No. 19 UC Santa Barbara was handed a pair of losses on Saturday, the first day of the UC Irvine Invitational. The Gauchos fell to No. 1 USC, 16-3, and No. 7 UC Davis, 10-6, at UCI's Anteater Pool.With the losses, UCSB falls to 4-5 overall this season.
