Dons can’t take control against Buena

Roberto Nelson’s 23 points weren’t enough to get Santa Barbara its first Channel League boys basketball win on Friday, as the Dons fell 71-61 at Buena,

“We just had too many mistakes at the wrong time,” said coach Chris Hantgin. “It just seemed like we could never take control of the game. I give credit to Buena.”

John Uribe chipped in 11 points, but was hit with a technical foul at a costly point late in the game.
