Younger Dons chomp Bulldogs, 15-3

A lot of younger players got to strut their stuff for the top-ranked Santa Barbara High girls tennis team on Tuesday in a 15-3 road win at Buena.

Freshman Aurora Garrison was 2-0 and classmate Taryn Mjelde was 3-0 in singles play for the Dons, who went a perfect 9-0 in doubles thanks to the teams of Taylor Toner-Stephanie Thornton, Savannah Fox-Caitlyn Macker, Caitlyn Macker-Aubrey Macker, Camille Phillips-Erica Singer and the twin duo of Thalia and Ariana Hudson.

“It’s not so much who we played and what we did, but how we did it,” said coach Steve Geremia. The girls did some really good things out there today.”
