No. 6 Dons dispose of Lions 13-2

Ian Gamble and Parker Peterson accounted for six Santa Barbara scores on Tuesday as the boys water polo team trounced an overmatched Oaks Christian squad 13-2.

The Dons (4-1), No. 6 in Division I, suffocated the Lions on defense, amassing 21 steals while only allowing a goal in each half. Brendan Kerwin-McElroy led the team with seven individually and Jason Masho scored five more. Masho added two goals to his steals count and Kerwin-McElroy scored one as well.

The other Dons with one goal are Chris Dall, Paul Davis, Lautaro Fesembeck and Brandon Cowan.

The Dons are preparing for the South Coast Tournament starting Thursday, which is arguably the most prestigious pre-season boys water polo tournament of the year in Southern California.
